Family Photoshoot in Rapallo

Clare’s Family

Some family sessions are calm and slow. Others are beautifully unpredictable. This family photoshoot in Rapallo definitely belonged to the second category.

Clare and her family traveled from the United States to spend their vacation on the Italian Riviera. Together with their three energetic toddler daughters, they brought a wonderful mix of chaos, laughter, and tenderness that makes family photography so real.

We met in the gardens of Villa Tigullio. The villa itself was unfortunately under renovation, but the surrounding park still offered quiet corners, soft greenery, and a view of the sea. It was the perfect place to begin slowly, letting the girls explore while I captured the first natural moments.

Photographing young children means letting go of rigid plans. Kids rarely pose — they move, run, laugh, and suddenly change direction. My job is to stay attentive and ready for those small, authentic moments that happen in between.

After some time in the garden, we continued our walk toward the sea and the lively promenade of Lungomare Vittorio Veneto. The light over the water was soft and warm, and the girls had endless energy for exploring the seaside.

During this family photoshoot in Rapallo, we captured many different kinds of moments. Quick portraits of three fast-moving little adventurers. Playful family frames full of movement. A few quiet, romantic photographs just for the parents

These small pauses matter. Family trips are often busy and full of plans, but photographs can hold the quieter memories too — the way parents look at each other when the kids run ahead.

As a Polish photographer based in Italy, I work mostly with traveling families who want something natural and relaxed from their time here. No stiff posing, no pressure — just space to be together while I document it. Whether you are visiting Liguria for the first time or returning to a place you already love, a family photoshoot in Rapallo can become a beautiful memory of your Italian journey.
