As a photographer, I often meet couples who choose Italy not just for its beauty, but for the emotion it inspires. Aleksandra and Eris are one of those couples. Their vow renewal in Italy was a celebration of love, family, and history — all beautifully intertwined in their new home, a restored villa in Pieve Ligure overlooking the sea.
Aleksandra, from Poland, and Eric, of Chinese heritage, first met in Hungary and later built their life together in the United States. After years abroad, they decided to create a new chapter in Italy, renovating a historical villa to become their family’s home. Their celebration marked two milestones — ten years of marriage and one hundred years of the villa’s story.
The day began with a private concert — the sound of violin and double bass echoing through olive trees and sea breeze. Guests from around the world listened as architects shared the villa’s history and their renovation journey. Then came the most emotional moment: the renewal of vows, held on the terrace with the Mediterranean as a backdrop. After the ceremony, the celebration continued in true Italian style — with an elegant aperitivo prepared by La Tavola Imbandita. Laughter, toasts, and clinking glasses filled the air as friends and family gathered to celebrate love that has crossed continents.
For me, this vow renewal in Italy was more than just an event to photograph. It was a story about connection — between people, cultures, and generations. The blend of elegance, warmth, and authenticity made this day unforgettable, just like Italy itself.
