Dancer Photoshoot in Genoa
Maria & Diego
Some projects begin before they fully exist. In that moment when an idea is still becoming real. Maria and Diego were just about to start their own salsa and bachata classes in Genoa. Full of energy, plans, and a shared vision, they asked me to create images that would represent them — not only as dancers, but as teachers building something of their own. This dancer photoshoot in Genoa became a part of that beginning.
Movement in the Heart of Genoa
We chose locations that are deeply connected to the city — the elegant courtyard of Teatro Carlo Felice and the historic space of Palazzo Ducale. It was a cold November day, but somehow it didn’t matter. When people move with passion, the body follows something stronger than temperature. The light was beautiful, but fleeting. We had to move quickly, adapting constantly, catching moments before they disappeared. This is something I love in photography — working with what is given, not controlling everything, but responding to it.
Energy, Connection, Presence
During this dancer photoshoot in Genoa, Maria and Diego didn’t need much direction. Their connection was natural, built through movement and trust. I guided gently, focusing on lines, gestures, and moments where dance becomes something more than technique. Because dance is not only about steps. It’s about presence. These images were created to support their new chapter — promotional photos, but also something more personal. A visual expression of who they are, together and individually.
I work closely with each person I photograph, adapting to your rhythm, your work, your story. Whether you are a dancer, teacher, or creative, the goal is the same — to create images that feel true. That’s what a dancer photoshoot in Genoa means to me: capturing movement, but also the intention behind it.
